Hi, my name is Deanna Diaz. I moved to Colorado Springs from Santa Ynez, California where I was the Owner, Trainer and Behavioral Enrichment Coordinator of Doggy Dynamics. I worked closely with Shadow’s Fund (shadowsfund.org), a rescue focusing on providing hope for pit bull type dogs and giving 2nd chances to the most vulnerable shelter dogs, as well as with the Santa Barbara County shelters. I participated in behavior modification, play groups, shelter volunteer support and so much more. Rescue has always been a strong part of who I am and feeds my passion and determination to change the feared perception of the label “pit bull”.
I am a graduate of the Animal Behavior College where I received my ABCDT Certificate, ABC Training Shelter Dogs, ABC Pet CPR/First Aid and ABC Pet Massage. I am a member of APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers), Humane Educator with PEP! (Pet Education Program) and Love on a Leash with my Certified Therapy Dog “Sweet Sochi”.
I have worked and/or volunteered in the field of animal welfare consistently since 2014 holding positions such Animal Behaviorist, Certified Dog Trainer, Behavior Enrichment Coordinator, Executive Director, Humane Educator and Reading Support, where children read to therapy dog “Sweet Sochi”.
I previously studied under Andrea Bratt CPDT-KSA/IAABC of K9sbehave.com of Santa Barbara, California.
I am passionate about being a Benevolent Trainer and helping to restore and strengthen the human/animal bond and I am always supporting the “under-dog”!
