House of Dog Training
NOTE: We pride ourselves on the specialized care we provide dogs while they are in our facility. To that end, we are licensed through PACFA (Department of Agriculture) to administer medications. Per PACFA standards, we require the original prescription bottles for all medications, even if the medication is sorted into pill pockets or the like before we receive it. Additionally, any sedatives or calming medications (Fluoxetine, Trazadone, Claumicalm, etc) require written permission from you as well as a prescription from the veterinarian in order for us to be able to administer it to your dog. We can also administer over-the-counter supplements (both pet specific and non-pet specific) as long as we have written permission from you on file. Please make sure you sign all permission forms on our online system, and be prepared to sign paper copies at the facility as well. Thank you for your cooperation with these procedures.

Our board and train program is a great option if you are going out of town and want your dog to receive some training while they are boarding with us. It is also an option for those that live farther away and cannot regularly drive to our facility for the Dayschool program. Dogs of all ages are welcome to board and train, though we recommend not boarding young puppies overnight as much as possible because it can be stressful for them.
To participate in the board and train program, you will need to schedule a free 15 minute “meet and greet” appointment. You and your dog will get a chance to see the boarding facility, meet our trainers and kennel techs, discuss training goals for your dog, and complete the registration process.
Note: If your training goals involve more than “working on the basics” or your dog has behavioral issues, you will need to schedule a 30 minute assessment ($20) with a trainer to evaluate your dog for our cautious and people cautious boarding.
There is no standard length of time or amount of training required in our board and train program. You can add as many or as few training sessions to your dog’s boarding stay as you want. Each training session is an additional cost to our standard boarding rate. There are no discounts for training multiple dogs in the same household.
Boarding Prices - $44 / night (standard)
$50 / night (cautious dogs)
$79 / night (people cautious dogs)
Training Prices - $33 / 30 minute session
$63 / 1 hour session
Ask us if your number of training sessions qualifies you for a free “transfer” lesson! In this transfer lesson, one of our trainers will teach you how to continue our work at home.
Due to the size of our facility, we have limited availability for boarding kennels. Be sure to reserve a place for your dog as soon as possible, especially over holidays! You will be required to pay a 50% deposit for boarding at the time of booking.
